I am not sure about the rest of you but I have magnetic signs on the side of my truck that have our teams logo and web site on it. I don't know if this is good practice or not.  I bring this up because this morning I was driving to work and twice when I was stopped at a traffic light I had  cars pull up to the side  of me look at the magnet and then slowly pull up to the front of the truck and then stare into my window. The first time I wiped my nose thinking I had something hanging out of it but I didn't.

   I have a friend named Gary. He is the founder of PRG of Utah. This is a renown Paranormal Investigation team out of Utah. Gary wrote the other day a blog about darkness. You can read it on their web site. A couple of days ago I found myself sitting alone in a dark place such as Gary describes in his blog. I started to think about the darkness I was now in. When I first sat down I put my arms across my knees and put my head down and just listened. All the equipment I had on me to investigate this place was turned off.

Before I start this blog I want to ask all you Paranormal ninjas a question. 

Who do you think was the first person to hear and EVP? I think the answer is Thomas Watson. Watson was the one who heard "Watson come here I need you on Bell's telephone machine.

 It seems like it is almost monthly that a new piece of equipment comes out that it is a must have for Investigation teams. I see these items on the various paranormal equipment sites and wonder which of the TV ghost hunting shows will be the first to preview this item, which in turn will make it a must have item.

Shadow Figure or Shadow Person.

 What are they?  

 During an investigation, have you ever caught a glimpse of some type of dark figure out of the corner of your eye?  This could be what is called a "shadow figure" or person.  Some say that these figures are spirits or ghost of people who have died, but have not yet crossed over.  Others say that they are just lost souls that remain wandering the earth.  Still others say that they are evil and demons, and then there are the skeptics that say it's just a figment of our imagination.

Pets and the Paranormal  

 I was thinking the other day, ( yeah I know it only happens every now and again) while watching "Maddie". She is the dog that is on the Ghost Hunters show. I would watch Maddie and then look at my four Yorkies and wonder if my dogs along with Maddie and other dogs really have some kind of extra sensory thing going on especially when it comes to sensing ghost and spirits. Now, I know that dogs especially are in tuned to a lot of things that we as humans are not.

 Electronic voice phenomena (EVP) are electronically generated noises that resemble speech, but are not the result of intentional voice recordings or renderings.           

  Audio recorders have been taken on paranormal investigations and ghost hunts for years and have frequently recorded odd sounds. Most haunting involve some sort of unusual sounds, sometimes including whispering or voices.

  I have been asked more than once about the "Orb" phenomena. I have been asked to look at pictures to determine if the spot is an orb or a piece of dust. As a paranormal investigator it is difficult sometimes to determine what is dust and what is a spirit. No one truly knows what orbs are.  "Orbs" can appear in many different shapes and colors, with white orbs being the most common. As a Paranormal Investigator I do believe that some of these orbs are the lingering energy from the deceased and gone.

What are ghosts? I'll give you the answer straight out: No one knows for certain.

There are, however, many theories to explain the thousands of experiences that people around the world have had. I think ghosts and spirits  are a common part of the so called  human experience. It also  appears to be several types of ghosts or hauntings, and more than one theory might be needed to explain them all. The traditional view of a ghost is that it is the spirit of a dead person that for some reason is "stuck" between this world and the next, often as a result of some tragedy or trauma.

My dad us to always say "that all catfish are fish, but not all fish are catfish". This saying goes true for these different types of individuals. All Paranormal Investigators are Ghost Hunters, but not all Ghost hunters are Paranormal Investigators.    

         

     If you were to look around the web, you would find that there are quite a few "Ghost Hunter" and "Paranormal Investigation" teams.

Good afternoon all you Paranormal Ninjas. 

 On 30 Dec. 11, the team went on an investigation to a local cemetery.  This cemetery seems to be active at times, and not at other times.  We were able to capture sounds, noises, and what appear to be voices and maybe a child's cry on our digital recorders.  We also caught on video what we believe is a child's voice, along with a mist.  We have on video our K-II, EMF detector, and Mel- Meter all going off at the same time after we had asked questions.

As I was watching an episode of the Ghost Hunters last night there were a couple of things that came to mind that really made me wonder. The first one was Taps was at Sloss Furnace and the whole group even there guest investigator Meat Loaf saw a shadow figure. What makes me wonder about these shadows is are they capable of being seen when they want to be seen or are they just stuck in this form. I know of cases where these shadow figures would just come out of no where and then be gone. So does that mean they can become this semi solid state on there own or is something else that makes them do that. If these shadow figures can manifest on there own and by themselves then why wont they stay still. I'ts just one of those things that makes me wonder. The other thing that makes me wonder is the thing they called auditory matrixing. I wonder about that. I understand that this is when when we hear a sound and interpret it as another. I myself have encountered this. What makes me wonder is if a spirit can communicate with us through white noise why not through running water, or the sound of a bell. These are the things that make me wonder and would love to get your insights on these things.~Tracy

Thought Forms

I would like to know what you think about Thought Forms

I have read about this phenomena and I can see that there is a lot of similarities between a thought form and  residual haunt. I think this is possibly an explanation for somethings that could be occurring. I would like to know if anybody else has also thought this.
